Game Description

■What Kind of Game is Hollow Cocoon?
It is a first-person horror adventure game set in 1980s Japan.

Step into the shoes of Minato Jinba, a college student returning to his mother’s hometown after receiving news that his grandmother is in critical condition. Hide yourself from the monster and gather vital evidence to unravel the bone-chilling truth lurking beneath the surface!
■The Story

Minato Jinba, a university student, lives away from his parents in a boarding house in the city.
One night, Minato receives distressing news from his father, Eiji. Minato’s maternal grandmother, Kinu Miyama, is in critical condition.
He embarks on a journey to Ichinose, a village deep in the mountains, where his mother was born.

Minato had not seen his grandmother for over a decade and harbors a deep resentment towards her.
She had refused to even attend her own daughter’s funeral, further intensifying Minato’s disdain.

As the bus rumbles across the country road, Minato recalls his only conversation with his grandmother.

“– The thing with silkworms, you know; even if they could leave their cocoons, they have no mouths to eat, and their wings do not fly.
They simply lay their eggs and perish.”

“People are the reason they suffer this fate.”

The sky reddens in the twilight, and the mountains cast an ominous shadow.

Game Description

FOG BUDDIES
Teamwork is the name of the game. Or it would be if it weren’t already What the Fog. Point is monster killing is always better together. Choose between Dead by Daylight’s Dwight, Claudette, or Feng Min and strategize your upgrades to build loadouts that complement each other. Then stay in the action even after you die, helping your partner tough it out until they can revive you.

MONSTER MASH
Everything you see is out to kill you. The least you can do is return the favor. Destroy swarms of enemies and take down bosses to earn Bloodpoints. Platform across dangerous terrain to find and repair Generators. Activate their runes to upgrade your character. Survive and get the Fog out!

DON’T BE AFRAID
We get it, roguelites can be intense! Luckily What the Fog’s combat and upgrades are easy to grasp, and its 8 different difficulty settings let you find the perfect challenge no matter your skill level. Focus on the fun of quick, exciting runs across increasingly wild, randomly generated levels.

How to play on Windows 7?

Run “KexSetup_x64Rel.exe” from “_Windows 7 Fix” folder and install that extension
Open “WhatTheFog\Binaries\Win64\WhatTheFogGame.exe” file properties in Explorer, then “VxKex” tab
Check “Enable VxKex for this program” and “Report a different version of Windows, Windows 10” checkboxes, Apply, OK
Run the game as usual

Backwards Compatibility

This repack IS NOT backwards compatible with my previous C24 repack.

White Screen Fix

Open %userprofile%\Saved Games\Cricket 24\config.ini.
Set brightness value to 0.57. Save the file and make it Read Only.
Launch Cricket 24.
Open Cheat engine. Select Cricket 24 process. Search using the “Value Type” as “float”. Type “0.57” and click “First Scan”.
Go to Cricket 24 game settings and set Gamma to maximum value.
In Cheat Engine, change scan type to “Increased Value” and click “Next Scan”.
Go to Cricket 24 game settings and set Gamma to minimum value.
In Cheat Engine, change scan type to “Decreased Value” and click “Next Scan”. Repeat steps 5-8 until you are left with asingle address. This address should be “4007C809644”.
Double click that address so that it comes to the bottom table. Keep playing the game until screen goes white.
In Cheat Engine, right click the address and click “Find out what writes to this address”.
Click “Replace” and confirm all prompts. White screen will no longer appear.
